Our client is an international subsurface engineering company with 30 years providing cutting edge tunnelling experience, and they are on the lookout for an experienced Diesel Fitter/Mechanic for a temp to perm opportunity for their workshop in Wakerley.

You will be required to:

• Be responsible for prompt and accurate completion of repair and maintenance documentation.
• Attend to breakdowns and scheduled repairs with minimal downtime and at minimal cost.
• Work to achieve set workshop productivity targets.
• Stay in constant communication with the local and mobile operational teams to ensure equipment is repaired and available to meet targets.
• Perform a reasonable amount of overtime as required.
• Be prepared to participate in a rostered after-hours equipment break downs.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required.

To be successful for this role, you will have:

• Qualifications as a Fitter (preferable Diesel)
• Experience in repairs and maintenance.
• Experience in strip downs, rebuilds and fault finding.
• A focus on always working safely and supporting a positive safety culture.
• The ability to work autonomously.
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Working rights in Australia.
• Previous site work experience.
• Previous tunnel boring experience
• Hydraulic Experience (highly desirable)
